I decided to try my hand at knitting the lovely Lore Hoodie from Vampire Knits! (Psst! There is also apparently a guys sweater pattern in that book from a really cool derby girl knitter)

I poked through some of the versions of this hoodie on Ravelry, just to see what other knitters have done. I decided to use a Knit Picks yarn to make mine, but didn't want to use the Swish Bulky. Instead, I used Wool of the Andes Tweed in Indigo Heather. I held two strands together to get a bulky weight yarn for the pattern! I think it came out lovely!

These pics are pre-blocking. I was way too excited to try it on and take pictures!

I also think I might add one more button near the belt line.

Decided to do the typical "JC Penny" shot!

Lots of great patterns in this book! I'm going to make another of these hoodies in red!

A couple of brand new patterns are up at on the Knit Picks website! We had this incredibly fun shoot in a factory where they manufacture metal roofing! The coolest part was that the entire factory was run on solar power!

Here are some pics! The gray legwarmers pattern isn't up yet. It's being "prettied up" and test knit. Should be up by the end of the month!

A shrug with heart detail on the sleeves

Some cool legwarmers

And this pattern, which will be (hopefully) up very soon!

I am loving Knit Picks Independent Designer Program! So much fun!
